Supporting small business

We would like to support small businesses in our community.

If you are a small business and need to wash and dry please contact us to arrange a discount code that can be used in our laundry  every time you wash and or dry.

You may be a hairdresser, barber, cleaner, beauty salon, chiropractor, physio just to name a few – we are here to help you get that washing and drying completed using our industrial strength and Eco friendly washers and driers.

Our tap and go kiosk has now been updated to email you a receipt for tax purposes.

If we can help please call Mhairi on 0419651862 or email

A focus on the future

Our guest speaker today at Business Connect Wyndham with was Colin McLeod, Melbourne University’s Enterprise Professor and Executive Director of the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre.  Colin’s presentation was insightful, thought provoking and helped us understand that Australia is a (often understated) world leader in research and thinking.

Here’s some of the things we learnt at BCW:

  • A good business knows its customers
  • Water will become a major issue world-wide
  • There was a three-fold increase in mental health venture capital investment in 2020 over 2019
  • There is a focus on contemplation as the way to treat mental health
  • The way you treat mental health will impact on how people view your business
  • The person that will best engage employees is the person they report to
  • Employees are three times more likely to be engaged if they are given feedback daily
  • Process feedback is best eg how did you pack that many boxes into the van?
  • Lifelong learning is the new norm
  • A premium will be put on socialisation in the workplace

Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant - Weddings Centre-Stage

Going on a national tour with ‘Foxholes of the Mind” by Bernard Clancy

Wearing more than one hat, i.e. Marriage and Funeral Celebrant, with my theater production company WHAM we go on a national tour in May 2021 to South Australia (Adelaide), ACT (Canberra), Tasmania (Hobart), New South Wales (Newcastle) to showcase Bernard Clancy’s play “Foxholes of the Mind”, supported and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Bernard Clancy: “I originally wrote Foxholes because I wanted to highlight the tragedy of PTSD, to try to stop the terrible waste and destruction of the human spirit that PTSD entails. – Much is being done to try to counter PTSD, not only in the military sense, but also for first-responders who deal with trauma, sometimes extreme, on a regular basis. – Foxholes is a non-clinical story about how a family, and its extended contacts and friends, are affected by PTSD. It shows how it can be identified and managed; it’s about caring for those who come home from conflict, in our name, with wounds of the mind.”

As the director of the play I am happy to be able to combine my interest in caring for the local community with a service to the wider community in other states.
